The Coward is about a person, not politics.

This is a privately funded narrative film exploring the human condition - fear, identity and survival in the War of 1812. It is not a political project and never will be. It exists only to tell a human story from the War of 1812.

As the creator and Director I deeply respect history and those who lived it.

I am aware that some groups and individuals have used the War of 1812 and its history as a backdrop for their particular political messaging.

Those goals do not align with this project and do not reflect the intent of "The Coward". This project is not a commentary on the current nature of Canadian society.

Racism, bigotry, or hate in any form are rejected and will not be tolerated within our online spaces, community, production process, or events. Comments connecting this film with racism, bigotry, or hate in any way will be deleted and the poster will be blocked from further access.

There are many platforms, sites and channels to talk about any political topic. The Coward is not one of them.

I will not allow The Coward to be co-opted for any political messaging, by anyone, for any purpose, in any form.
