Newly immigrated from Ireland, naively volunteered for the extra pay and excitement of a war. In over his head, poorly trained and unready for the horrors and ruthless violence of battle.
Samuel
A local Ontarian, fighting to defend his home. More experienced than the Coward and quietly brave. Initially unnerved by the gunfire but has faith in his Sergeant.
Sergeant Poltock
A British Army veteran of the Peninsular War. Personally irritated Wellington himself and got sent to the Canadian backwater as punishment. Rough but honest with his men and genuinely cares for them.
